I have been looking for these kind of socks for a long time to replace a pair of Smart Wool ones I could never find again (they never produced that light/mid weight sock again). Gave these a try and they are even better. Softer, more comfortable, and the perfect weight! Not the typical thick wool sock that's too thick to wear because they make your shoes tighter. Give them a go, you will not be disappointed. Alpaca wool is the way to go!!!

I was very worried about sweating and odor, as I chronically have stinky feet, but my husband assures me they don’t smell and don’t notice sweating at all. I’m also impressed by how well they have washed up. I avoided drying them at first but are now tossing in the dryer with the rest of my laundry. They’re not delicate at all! I thought I couldn't continue the hike, but the water drained right away and my feet were warming up as we walked. Also these don't get heavy or uncomfortable like wool does. Paca socks are an amazing find for me. I have a neuropathy in my feet that can wake me up when I turn while sleeping.. paca socks cradle my feet and keep this from happening. They are also wonderful during the day. Good thing I have a few pair I can change out, because I wear them 24/7. I love my Pacas!

Welp, I am sold. I am a floor nurse which means 13-14 hours on my feet. I am also 54 so I have OLD feet. I am kinda blown away at the level of comfort and "snugness" these provide and while pricey, I get it -- worth the slight investment for us feet-workers. Well done PACAS. HIGHLY recommend.

The Large/Extra Large socks are a little big for my size 11 shoes. But, by washing the socks in hot water and drying on high heat the first wash, they then fit perfectly. They are soft and warm and have become my favorite socks — even better than those made of merino wool.

If I could give these socks 100 stars I would! Seriously, I will never buy socks from anywhere else again. I can’t wait to wear them on my hiking trip to Patagonia in January. I bought the compressions socks for the plane, low cut socks for my tennis shoes and the crew socks for hiking (but I wear these all the time…..sooooo comfy)! I never thought I’d love socks so much. And P.S. I’m VERY allergic to wool, cashmere, bunny fur, etc but these socks don’t bother me at all. First rate!

I have been really impressed with my Pacas socks. I have tried all types of wool and cotton blend socks from other places, both cheaper and expensive (L.L. Bean and Darn Tough) only to have them all wear out within a few months or even weeks. I am not a large, or heavy person, nor do I put my socks through tough wear. I tried out Pacas and I am thrilled with them so far. Wore them all summer and no wearing through them yet. They ARE GREAT! I am now looking forward to receiving the sweater and shawl I ordered. Gook Job Guys! I was worried that the alpaca wool might feel scratchy but they are just fine. The only suggestion I have would be to add an ankle height sock as well, something in between the height of Crew sock and low cut versions. Now I have my eye on your blankets.

Material and fit are nice. Should have come with washing instructions although that information is on the website. I washed the sweater in cold water and laid flat to dry. The material smells really bad when its wet. That has moderated a little as it dries and I'm hoping it goes away entirely.

These socks are very soft, not itchy like traditional wool. Very warm, I had the opportunity to test them out standing on cement for several hours in early winter cold in Michigan. Cozy warm, and my feet always get cold in those conditions. No sweating either like you get with some synthetic blends. I would definitely recommend and plan to buy more.
